Thank you for your interest in the Imerys Scholarship Program. The mission of the Imerys Scholarship Program is to provide scholarship funds to exemplary undergraduate students who are majoring in fields related to mining, minerals, earth sciences, and other applicable fields. Imerys is located in over 45 countries and employs over 16,000 people. We are the world leader in adding value to minerals. We mine and process minerals from reserves with rare qualities in order to develop solutions that improve our customers’ product performance and manufacturing efficiency. Our products have many applications in everyday life, including construction, personal care, paper, paint, plastic, ceramics, telecommunications, and beverage filtration. In order to qualify for an Imerys Scholarship, individuals must meet all of the following criteria: 1. Enrollment in the 2012-2103 academic year as a full-time student in one of the following universities: · California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo · Colorado School of Mines · Georgia Institute of Technology · University of California, Santa Barbara · Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University 2. Formally declared major in one of the following: · Accounting and/or Finance or Economics · Business or Marketing · Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering · Chemistry or Materials Science · Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering · Geology or Mine Engineering 3. Junior or Senior in 2012-2013 academic year 4. Overall GPA of 3.0 or better and GPA of 3.5 or better in declared major
