The University of Queensland offers Scholarship for Women in Engineering in Australia. Scholarship is to support female students undertaking the first year of the Bachelor of Engineering in semester 1, 2014 at the University of Queensland. An applicant is eligible for the scholarship if she is enrolled full-time in the first year of the BE program. The value of the scholarship is $5,000. The application deadline is 31st March 2014.. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support female students who have been educationally disadvantaged as a result of their financial circumstances and/or geographic isolation to undertake their first year of the Bachelor of Engineering program..  Scholarships are available for pursuing Year 12 or 1st Year degree level. Scholarship to support female students undertaking the first year of the Bachelor of Engineering in semester 1, 2014 .

Who can apply to this scholarship? An applicant is eligible for the scholarship, if the applicant

· submits an application to the Associate Dean, by the closing date for applications; and
· is a female student; and
· is a domestic student within the meaning of the Fee Rules; and
· is enrolled full
· time in the first year of the BE program; and
· can provide documentary evidence of financial disadvantage and/or geographic isolation.
