Applications are invited for Allan & Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Masters Scholarships for the year 2016. Up to12 scholarships (over 3 years) are targeted at international students from developing countries for a number of courses that are affiliated with the Sheffield Institute for International Development.

The aim of the university is to examine the impact of the division between further and higher education on strategies to widen participation in undergraduate education.

The University of Sheffield was founded over a hundred years ago, founded on the aspirations and financial support of the people of Sheffield. They wanted to establish a university which would benefit their economy, health and children.

If applicants want to study at the University of Sheffield, they must be able to show that their English is good enough for them to successfully complete their course.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must hold an offer for some specific master courses to study at the University of Sheffield in 2016.

English language Requirements: These are the qualifications most commonly presented by applicants. The minimum levels of achievement for postgraduate study are detailed below. However, different courses require different levels of achievement in these qualifications.

How much is the scholarship award?:

There are four scholarships available to academically strong individuals from developing countries. Each scholarship offers the following: A full tuition fee waiver and Maintenance for University accommodation and a monthly stipend.

How to apply this scholarship?:

The mode of application is online. Applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship if they receive an offer to study one of the eligible courses and they are a national of, or permanently domiciled in, one of the eligible countries or territories. Their course application will be assessed by a panel of academic judges to decide whether they will progress to the final stage of the application process.
