AIST is inviting applications for AIST Ronald E. Lincoln Memorial Scholarship to study at an accredited North American college or university. Up to three US$3,000 one-year undergraduate scholarships will be awarded for the 2015—2016 school year to US students. Applicant should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. They must be a current university freshman, sophomore or junior. Applications must be submitted by 2nd March 2015.. AIST Foundation Scholarship awards are intended to attract talented and dedicated students and to encourage them to pursue careers within the iron and steel industry. The AIST Foundation Board of Trustees administers the scholarships, which are open to currently enrolled college students. Students may re-apply each year.. Scholarships are available for full-time undergraduate (freshman, sophomore and junior) students enrolled at an accredited North American college or university.
The research areas of this scholarship are: Scholarships are awarded for studying materials science, metallurgical, electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical, environmental and computer engineering majors.
Who can apply to this scholarship?
· Applicant must be a current university freshman, sophomore or junior.
· Applicant must be enrolled full
· time in an engineering program at an accredited North American university. Qualified majors are metallurgy, materials science, chemical, electrical, mechanical, industrial, computer science, and environmental engineering.
· Applicant should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
· Applicant should have a demonstrated interest in a career in the iron and steel industry.
Benefits of the scholarship: Up to three US$3,000 one-year scholarships will be awarded for the 2015—2016 school year. In addition, recipients will receive a one-year Material Advantage Membership.
