The Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology is pleased to announce postdoctoral research opportunities through its recently founded Klaus Hasselmann Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. Klaus Hasselmann Fellows receive up to three years of support to conduct independent research in one of the departments of MPI-M. In addition to the salary the fellowship provides each fellow with a modest budget to use at their discretion, support for relocation expenses, as well as full access to the breadth of human, numerical, observational, and computational resources available at one of the world’s premier laboratories for climate research.

-Candidates from diverse scientific backgrounds, with an interest in Earth system science, are encouraged to apply. -PhD within five years of the application deadline are encouraged to apply. -Special consideration will be given to those interested in applying techniques from different disciplines to the application, analysis, evaluation, and/or development of Earth system models.
