The Wind Energy Division at Risø DTU, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), is expanding the activities in socio-economic research related to the development and deployment of large scale wind power. We seek a candidate for a postdoctoral position in the field of wind energy socio-economic and business studies. The focus of the post doctoral research will be on the socio-economic feasibility and viability of wind energy farms in general and offshore wind farms in particular. The candidate will participate in national and EU R&D projects, including the EU project TROPOS – Modular Multi-use Deep Water Offshore Platform Harnessing and Servicing Mediterranean, Subtropical and Tropical Marine.

Candidates must hold a PhD degree in economics, social science or equivalent and have a strong background in socio-economic analysis, business development or system analysis. Knowledge to the wind energy sector and large scale infrastructure projects is an asset. In the selection of candidates, emphasis will be placed on past research performance and proven experience with at least one of the following areas: Socio-economic studies and business plans for large scale infrastructure projects Wind energy project planning and development Policy and framework conditions for wind energy Innovation system analysis Public acceptance (or social corporate responsibility) Life cycle assessment
