Lancaster University forms part of the ESRC’s North West Doctoral Training Centre (NWDTC). A large number of studentships, covering tuition and maintenance, are available for those wishing to study in areas covered by the ESRC at Lancaster, Liverpool or Manchester. Some studentships are reserved for students seeking joint supervision across two or more partner institutions.
The Faculty of Health and Medicine has Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funding for research studentships within the broad areas of i) Health and Well-being; and ii) Quantitative Methods. Applicants for the Health and Well-being pathway must be residents of the UK or the EU. Studentships in Quantitative Methods are open to candidates of any nationality.
