Sun Hung Kai Properties – Kwoks’ Foundation and Cambridge Overseas Trust (COT) will jointly offer support to Mainland Chinese students taking up PhD and Master’s degree courses at the University of Cambridge, according to the following plan: (1) Selection of students and duration of support In 2011 2 PhD students and 10 Master’s students will be selected in any academic disciplines, and will be supported for three years in the case of PhD students, and one year in the case of Master’s students. (2)Selection criteria 1.Excellent students with high motivation and outstanding achievement 2.Aged 35 or below 3.Holding a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree by September 2011 4.Holding an offer of admission from the University of Cambridge Board of Graduate Studies (3)English language level Students whose first language is not English are required to pass an English test at a high level prior to their admission being confirmed. The requirements of the University of Cambridge are among the highest in the UK. The University believes that it is in the student’s interest that his or her language skills are at a very high level before he or she embarks on a course and adherence to this requirement is strict, especially for candidates on one-year courses.
